This two part radio drama is aimed at children aged 6 to 10 years. Ann has drawn on an experienced and talented director and cast, to bring this story to life. It exudes a sensitivity that will melt your heart, and a humour that will cause you to explode with laughter!
This is the story of Charlie and his special stripy pyjamas. Charlie is a young boy, full of energy and lots of feelings that need to be unraveled. His big sis, Lizzie helps him solve some of these feelings and joins him in the odd bit of mischief! By night his special stripy pyjamas come to the rescue…..
Little does Charlie know that the stripes on his pyjamas are more amazing than he could ever dare to imagine! They have their own life of adventure, often led by the Orange Stripe. They all eavesdrop on Charlie and his family and one day hear of a plan.... Orange stripe senses Adventure with a Capital A! but Red and Blue Stripes just want to sleep. Zzzzzzzzz As for Charlie, he wonders how he can ever give away his precious things and give them with all of his heart…. In this production, Ann has drawn again on the experienced and talented director, Judi Chalmers to bring this imaginative world to life. Ann and Judi have worked together on several other radio drama productions (The Lonely Flower on RTE Jnr and an adaptation of The Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, for Cork City Community Radio). The cast, a hugely talented crew!, includes James Browne, Shane Casey, Judy Donovan, Darragh Keating, Dominic Moore and Rosie O'Regan.
